App Design Challenge
Storytelling-led onboarding for a city services app
Neighbourly explores a storytelling-led onboarding experience for a city services app designed for young professionals relocating to urban centres. Through character-based building illustrations and interactive flows, the project demonstrates how visual narratives can simplify feature discovery and make complex city services more accessible, fun and intuitive.

Problem Statement
Young professionals moving to large cities often struggle to quickly locate and access essential services such as healthcare appointments, entertainment, and daily conveniences.
Traditional onboarding flows explain features but rarely help users mentally map the ecosystem of services available to them.
The challenge was to design an onboarding experience that introduces app features in a way that is engaging, memorable, and easy to navigate.
